Riveting, thought-provoking, and impeccably written, Friends Don't Lie is an all-too-convincing reminder that even the most deeply-rooted relationships aren't always as trustworthy as they seem. I loved it
Six friends, three families: a lifetime of shared memories; absolute trust. But when tragedy strikes a fault line appears through which secrets bubble up like lava and, like lava, these secrets threaten to destroy everything in their path. Cath Weeks writes with an assured hand about family and community and the cracks beneath our feet. Her characters are vivid and her plotting is deft. I could taste the air of Milford: the dust of its streets and the tang of salt in the air. The truth of why four went out to sea and only three came home took my breath away. This is an absolute must-read
