The Buenos Aires Broken Hearts Club

Cassie Moore has always played it safe, living life according to an organised Master Plan with no room for spontaneity. But when she loses her ‘perfect job’ and finds her fiance in bed with his ex on the same day, it’s clear that The Plan has failed her. Waking the next day with a hangover she finds she’s booked herself a 6-month trip to Buenos Aires and told all her friends – so there’s no turning back. On arrival, Cassie is reluctantly seduced by all that this glorious city has to offer. Her landlady is an exuberant hostess who introduces her to the city life and also to handsome Mateo, a man Cassie clashes with right from the start. Cassie falls in with a group of other brokenhearted ex-pats and starts a weekly ‘Brokenhearts Club’ at a local bar, through which she meets Dan, a seemingly perfect man who lives life as carefully and predictably as Cassie. Or maybe as the old Cassie, because the new one has been having a ball and chronicling her break from reality in a silly blog…that takes on a life of its own. When things ignite with both Dan and Mateo, Cassie realises that sometimes the best lives are those you just can’t plan for.
