THE SECOND BOOK IN THE BESTSELLING KOREAN SERIES
‘Thank you for being born. I hope you grow up well. If we meet again in this world, we can greet each other warmly.’
When Nyang-i, the ginger-and-white cat who lives at Songgwangsa Temple, first entered Bokyeong’s life, it marked the beginning of a relationship that would gently reshape how he saw the world. Now, as spring turns to summer, the new season brings a new rhythm – and a new opportunity to understand each other.
In the luminous follow-up to One Day a Cat Came to Me, Bokyeong learns that everything in life has its turn; a summer monsoon might confine them for a while, but it will soon fill the rivers. A spring bud eventually bears fruit. A cat will have kittens, and the kittens grow.
With Bokyeong’s signature compassion, warmth and wisdom, The Contemplation of Cats is a timeless meditation on friendship, awareness and what it means to share the world together.
