CHRISTIAN CAMERON REVEALS FANTASY-FICTION PEN NAME

name for the critically acclaimed author of historical fiction, Christian Cameron, best-known for his on-going historical fiction series Tyrant.

Christian Cameron is a Canadian novelist, who was educated and trained as both an historian and a former career officer in the US Navy. A re-enactor, an outdoors expert and a weapons specialist, he is known for the faultless historical accuracy of his fiction. Cameron’s impeccably researched novels include sequences of books set in the time of Alexander the Great, the Persian Wars and the Hundred Years’ War [The Tyrant Series, The Long War Series and The Chivalry Series  are published by Orion in the UK].

The Traitor Son Cycle, published by Gollancz in the UK and by Orbit in the US under the pseudonym Miles Cameron, was Christian Cameron’s first foray into an alternative fantastical setting. Set in the medieval period, in the world of Cameron’s debut novel, The Red Knight, men live in pockets of civilisation reclaimed from the wild, powerful and dangerous monsters.

Throughout 2013, Christian has been telling inquisitive fans, with a tongue-in-cheek wink, that the author of The Red Knight, Miles Cameron, is his fantasy-loving cousin.

Miles Cameron (www.thetraitorson.com, @TheGreenSquire) lives, works and writes in Toronto, where he lives with his family. The Red Knight was his debut fantasy novel. The anticipated sequel, The Fell Sword, will be published  on 30  January 2014.

Christian Cameron (www.hippeis.com, @Phokion1) is a writer, re-enactor and military historian. He is a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as both an aviator and an intelligence officer. He has written the Tyrant Series, The Long War Series, and The Chivalry Series. He lives in Toronto with his wife and daughter, where he writes full time.
