As someone from Merseyside, I never wanted to move to London for a career in publishing. Hachette has opened doors for people at all levels and areas of the industry, and that was probably the biggest draw for me wanting to work here over other publishers. As a company, it’s extremely open, inclusive and welcoming. I have always felt that Hachette puts the wellbeing of employers high in its list of priorities.

 

My favourite thing is the opportunities you’re given. If you want to work on something you’re always welcome to, or at least that’s been my experience. I work in a really collaborative and open editorial team, and it’s a pleasure to work with them on the day-to-day.
