Norman Whiteside

Born in Belfast in 1965, Norman Whiteside made his first-team debut for Manchester United at the age of sixteen and became the youngest player ever to appear in the World Cup finals in 1982. He was an FA Cup winner in 1983 and scored the winning goal in the FA Cup final in 1985. After 67 goals in seven years for Manchester United, Whiteside transferred to Everton and was forced to retire due to injury at the age of 26. He now works as a podiatrist for the Professional Footballers Association, as a match-day host at Manchester United, and is an in-demand after-dinner speaker.
