Born in the 1980s in Yorkshire and now lives in Essex, Kate Johnson belongs to a small pride of cats. She’s worked in an airport, a lab, and various shops, but much prefer writing because early mornings aren’t her favourite things
She sold her first book in 2005 and since then has published many award-winning paranormal and contemporary romances and light-hearted mysteries, including the popular Sophie Green series. Her sci-fi action romance Max Seventeen won the Paranormal Romantic Novel of the Year from the Romantic Novelists Association in 2017. Under the pen name Cat Marsters she also had a successful career in erotic romance, winning an Epic award in 2010.
