What you’ll be doing
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an extremely well organised and confident Assistant Editorial to join the Hachette Children’s picture book team in a full-time position.
Reporting to the Editorial Director, you’ll provide administrative and editorial assistance to the Picture Book & Gift Book team. You’ll provide editorial support on a range of books under supervision, helping to ensure that all titles are accurate, consistent and delivered on schedule. You’ll assist with the day-to-day running of the picture book list, inputting information and ensuring the smooth running of editorial systems.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a highly organised and efficient Assistant Editor with excellent communication skills who is confident managing multiple tasks and tight deadlines. You should have experience in publishing and experience of picture books would be of benefit.
This is a broad and varied role, and we are looking for somebody who will embrace working collaboratively with teams across the organisation.
We need you to bring a positive, can-do approach and build strong relationships with your immediate team, other departments, as well as authors, illustrators and agents.
