What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Communications Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the publicity team and assisting in the day-to-day running of the press office; answering and responding to media enquiries, preparing mailings and presentations, liaising with authors, assisting with events, and coordinating travel plans and schedules.

This entry level role offers an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable experience, working across a wide range of titles, including a varied and exciting mix of crime, commercial women’s fiction and popular non-fiction.

Who we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will be extremely efficient and bring creativity and enthusiasm to the role. The ability to multi-task, work calmly under pressure and be a strong team player are also vital as is a good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop.
You will have a demonstrable interest in publishing and an awareness of how PR can affect the success of a book. You will be responsible, enthusiastic, have excellent organisational skills and a willingness jump in and help wherever needed. You will relish the opportunity to travel with authors, managing schedules and attending a range of events, some of which will be out of normal office hours.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, and who works well as part of a close-knit team. Good social media skills and telephone manner are also vital.

Salary: £23,000 per annum
