Head of Sales – Europe, Hachette UK

Who we are and what we do

Hachette UK is a leading UK publishing group. The group is made up of ten autonomous publishing divisions and over fifty imprints with a rich and diverse history.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Group International Sales department working across all divisions (excluding Hodder Education).

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for a passionate and motivated team player to lead the European Sales Team.

Responsibilities will include achieving Hachette UK and Hachette Book Group USA sales budgets in our European territories, managing and leading the European sales team and liaising with the Hachette divisions to champion the relevant international titles, and to ensure the European team  has all necessary information and materials to carry out selling activities and other departments are properly informed so that they can both assist fully and benefit from the International Sales department.

Who we’re looking for

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven sales track record
  • An in-depth knowledge of European markets
  • Some degree of management experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Commercial awareness

Salary: £45,000 depending on experience
