We are looking to recruit a full-time Rights Manager (parental cover) (35 hours a week)

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Rights Director, you will be covering a parental leave working in the HHJQ Rights Department. This is a key role in the Rights Department, and you will be selling translation rights into all our sub-agented territories across the Hodder & Stoughton, Headline Publishing, John Murray Press & Quercus Books list, as well as selling serial rights directly for the Hodder & Stoughton list. The role involves foreign travel as well as attending the London and Frankfurt book fairs.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a dynamic, organised, confident and commercially aware Rights Professional with substantial experience in rights or licensing. Excellent communication and negotiation skills along with enthusiasm for selling and strong understanding of customer and author care are fundamental to this role. With the ability to quickly build relationships both internally and with external contacts, you will have a proven track record in selling rights. A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload are essential.
