Phil Earle

Phil Earle was born in the great city of Hull in 1974, and spent the next eighteen years playing a lot of sport, messing around in plays and trying to sing in bands. He has had jobs as a care worker in a residential kids' home and a bookseller, and now works as sales and marketing director for David Fickling books. In 2016, Phil was appointed as Reading charity BookTrust's new writer-in-residence. He lives on a hill in Yorkshire with his wife and three children and his favourite place to write is on the bus. Julian Edelman

Julian Edelman has been a New England Patriots wide receiver since 2009, playing in three Super Bowls, scoring the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLIX and making one of the most memorable catches in NFL history in Super Bowl LI. Edelman is also one of the most productive punt returners in NFL history. A native of Redwood City, California, Edelman now lives in downtown Boston.
Gareth Edwards

Gareth Edwards played rugby as scrum-half for Cardiff, Wales and the British Lions in the 1960s and 1970s. He is widely regarded as the greatest rugby player of all time, and is now a respected TV commentator.
Sven-Göran Eriksson

Sven-Goran Eriksson's remarkable career spans four decades over as many continents. He was born in the small town of Sunne, Sweden in 1948. At the age of 34, he led mostly amateur side IFK Gothenburg to UEFA Cup victory in one of the greatest upsets in football history. He has won numerous league and cup titles in Portugal and Italy with Benfica, Roma and Lazio. In 2001, he became the first foreign manager of the England national team, reaching three consecutive quarter-finals in major tournaments. His winning record as England manager is eclipsed only by the legendary Sir Alf Ramsey. Following managerial positions at Manchester City, Mexico, Ivory Coast and Leicester, and a spell as the technical director of Al Nasr in the United Arab Emirates league, he is currently the manager of Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F.
