The Dalai Lama

His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the exiled religious and temporal leader of Tibet and winner of the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize, is recognised internationally as a spiritual leader and statesman. He lives in Dharamsala, India. Nicholas Vreeland has been a practicing Tibetan Buddhist monk since 1985, when he was ordained by the Dalai Lama. Since 1998 he has been the Director of the Tibet Center.
Kenny Dalglish

Kenny Dalglish was one of the most successful footballers of his era, winning successive tournaments with Liverpool, and then turning to management he triumphed with Liverpool and Blackburn. Since then he has managed Newcastle in a difficult spell and recently taken over the Direction of football in Glasgow Celtic. His autobiography was one of the biggest selling books of its year.
Lawrence Dallaglio

Lawrence Dallaglio has been a Wasps player all his club career, signing in 1990 and becoming captain in 1995 for 12 years until his retirement in 2008. He has won a hat-trick of Premiership titles and was also a member of the triumphant England Sevens team which won the World Cup at Murrayfield in 1993. He has captained his country and is regarded as one of the world's greatest ever back-row forwards - he was the only player to play in every minute of every match during the victorious 2003 World Cup campaign. He has won 85 caps for England and 3 Lions caps.
Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith

Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith is an author, speaker, and board-certified physician. She has an active medical practice in Alabama (near the Birmingham area). She received her B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of Georgia, and graduated with honors from Meharry Medical College in Nashville. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Baker College and Davenport University in Michigan teaching courses on health, nutrition, and disease progression. Dr. Dalton-Smith is a national and international media resource on the mind, body, spirit connection and has been featured in Women's Day, Redbook, and First For Women magazine. She is the author of Set Free to Live and Come Empty (winner 2016 Golden Scroll Nonfiction Book of the Year and 2016 Illumination Award Gold medalist). She is a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and a repeat keynote speaker at their annual gathering. She has shared her tips on merging faith and medicine with over 16,000 health care professionals to encourage the current and next generation of doctors to treat the whole person.

Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Martha Stewart Living, InStyle, Food & Wine and other publications, and she has worked for W magazine, People, the Wall Street Journal, Condé Nast Portfolio, the New York Post and Thomson Reuters. Eileen is married to New York celebrity chef Cesare Casella, with whom she has co-authored a cookbook. She lives and diets in Manhattan.

He is the author of COURTESANS AND FISHCAKES: THE CONSUMING PASSIONS OF CLASSICAL ATHENS (1997), and is a irregular contributor to The London Review of Books among other journals.

Jason Davis was born in Adelaide in 1971 and has continued his good form ever since. A journalist, Jason has written for magazines such as the Qantas in-flight magazine, Ralph, and newspapers The Sydney Morning Herald, The Sun-Herald and now works for The Courier-Mail. Jason lives in Brisbane with his wife Elizabeth and daughter Rose.
Maggi Dawn

After spending a number of years working as a singer, writer and musician in the field of contemporary music, Maggi Dawn was ordained into the Anglican Church in 1999. Having been Chaplain and Fellow at Robinson College, Cambridge, she is now Dean of Marquand Chapel and Associate Professor at Yale Divinity School. An occasional broadcaster for BBC Radio 4 Religion, she is a regular speaker at Greenbelt Festival and a wide range of venues around the world. Her books include Beginnings, Giving it up and THE WRITING ON THE WALL.
Mick Dawson

MICK DAWSON is one of the most experienced and successful ocean rowers in the world. To date, he has spent over 440 days at sea in rowing boats, covering a distance of over 18,000 nautical miles. He is a former Royal Marines commando, who saw active service both in the Falklands War and the Middle East. His lifelong passion for the ocean continued after his time in the Royal Marines when he went on to become a professional sailor and ultimately record-breaking ocean rower. He is currently working with veterans on maritime projects to assist with their recovery from PTSD and combat injuries.

His first book, Cyclogeography: Journeys of a London Bicycle Courier, was published in 2015.
Sarah De Carvalho

In 1992 Sarah de Carvalho left her glittering, well-paid media career in London to live and work amongst the street children of Rio de Janeiro's slums. Sarah founded the Happy Child Mission which is dedicated to providing physical, educational and spiritual care for street children. Today, Happy Child runs 9 homes in two major cities in Brazil and has rescued, rehabilitated and reintegrated over 7500 children.
