Matthew D'ancona

Matthew d'Ancona is the Editor of the Spectator. He contributes regularly to several other publications and makes frequent radio and television appearances. He appeared in Prospect's list of Britain's 100 most influential intellectuals, as reported in the Independent (23 June 2004).
The Dalai Lama

His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the exiled religious and temporal leader of Tibet and winner of the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize, is recognised internationally as a spiritual leader and statesman. He lives in Dharamsala, India. Nicholas Vreeland has been a practicing Tibetan Buddhist monk since 1985, when he was ordained by the Dalai Lama. Since 1998 he has been the Director of the Tibet Center.
David Dalglish

David Dalglish currently lives in rural Missouri with his wife Samantha, daughter Morgan and dog Asimov. He graduated from Missouri Southern State University in 2006 and currently devotes himself to perfecting his craft. He spends his free time playing racquetball and watching PBS with his daughter.

A J Dalton

A J Dalton (Adam Dalton) has been an English language teacher as far afield as Egypt, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Slovakia, Poland and Manchester Metropolitan University. He published his first Fantasy trilogy, consisting of Necromancer's Gambit (2008), Necromancer's Betrayal (2009) and Necromancer's Fall (2010), to great acclaim.
Lily Dalton

Lily Dalton grew up as an Army brat, moving from place to place. Her first stop after relocating was always the local library, where she could hang out with familiar friends: Books! Lily has an English degree from Texas A & M University and after graduation worked as a legal assistant in the fields of accident reconstruction and litigation. She now lives in Houston, Texas, with her family. Tess Daly

Tess Daly worked as a model for ten years before moving to New York where she began to write for the likes of Paper magazine. Tess made her first television presenter appearance on The Big Breakfast in 2000. She has gone on to present numerous shows including ten series of Strictly Come Dancing. Tess writes a weekly fashion column for The Mirror and has her own award winning Daly Beauty range. Her debut novel The Camera Never Lies was published in 2011 following publication of The Baby Diaries in 2010 which documents her journey through motherhood. The story goes like this: While on pregnancy bed rest, Lauren Dane had plenty of down time, so her husband took her comments about "giving that writing thing a serious go" to heart and brought home a secondhand laptop. Dr Daniel Freeman

Professor Daniel Freeman is one of the UK's leading clinical psychologists. He is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Medical Research Council (MRC) Senior Clinical Fellow at the University of Oxford. He was awarded the 2008 May Davidson prize by the British Psychological Society which marks 'an outstanding contribution to the development of clinical psychology. A key figure in the latest developments in cognitive behaviour therapy, he teaches clinicians around the world.
Jennifer Daniel

Jennifer Daniel is the author of SPACE! a picture book explaining the universe through unusual visual forms. Her graphics have been translated into over ten languages and featured on NPR's Morning Edition, Sweden's Dagens Nyheter and in The New York Times. Jennifer has been recognised by many fancy design, illustration, and journalism awards including D&AD's Gold Pencil (London), Art Directors Club Gold Cube (New York), and Society of Publication Design Gold Medal (New York). She speaks about journalism and design for organisations such as Society of News Design, SXSW, and Creative Mornings. Michael Daunt

'The Bart and the Bounder' first came to prominence in a BBC2 TV special of that name shown in spring 2006. It drew an audience of nearly 3 million. When not fishing with his cousin, the Bounder, the Bart, Sir Richard Heygate, runs a software company. The Bounder is always fishing.
Graham Davey

Graham Davey is Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of Sussex. His research interests extend across mental health problems generally, and anxiety and worry specifically. He is a former president of the British Psychological Society and is currently editor-in-chief of the Journal of Experimental Psychopathology which publishes cutting-edge research on anxiety and anxiety-related problems.
Michael David Lukas

Michael David Lukas was born in 1979 and lives in California, where he teaches primary-school children Creative Writing and writes travel journalism. This is his first novel.
