Senior Editor / Editorial Director, Sceptre

We are looking for an experienced Senior Editor to join Sceptre and consolidate its position as a leading publisher of literary fiction and non-fiction.
The successful applicant will be expected to bring their own vision and ideas to the list and to acquire non-fiction titles, as well as some fiction. The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience of commissioning, a successful track record and a proven ability to be pro-active and creative in their approach to commissioning. They will also have commercial acuity and be highly organised, as well have good contacts with literary agents and international publishers. Reporting to the Sceptre Publisher, the successful applicant will join a small team of editors who are passionate about literature and dedicated to publishing our books and authors to the highest standards.
