As an Editorial Assistant at Sphere Fiction and Dialogue Books, you’ll be part of the team that publishes some of the biggest names in fiction. Sphere is home to number one and top ten bestsellers including Mark Billingham, Jenny Colgan, Judy Finnigan, Robert Galbraith, Clare Mackintosh, Carole Matthews, Val McDermid, J. K. Rowling and Nicholas Sparks. Dialogue is Little, Brown’s newest imprint, publishing stories for, about, by BAME, LGBTQI+, disability and working-class communities in a broad range of genres encompassing fiction, non-fiction, commercial and literary titles.
You’ll love commercial fiction and be passionate for a literary read. You’ll need top-class organisational and administrative abilities, an eye for detail and impeccable spelling and grammar. You’ll be proactive and keen to learn on the job. Great communication skills are essential.
What you’ll be doing:
- -Looking after books from manuscript to printed copy, including writing jacket copy
- -Communicating with authors and literary agents
- -Working on our social media platforms
- -Providing organisational and administrative support to the Sphere and Dialogue teams, split four days a week for Sphere and one for Dialogue.
