Titles published by Hachette UK head the list of most borrowed books according to PLR figures18/02/2009
Books published by the Hachette UK group head the list of most borrowed titles from public libraries during 2008 in the latest PLR (Public Lending Right) figures published last week.
James Patterson is the most borrowed author for the second year running, followed by Nora Roberts, Ian Rankin and Alexander McCall Smith with Francesca Simon’s Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend the second most borrowed children’s title after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Almost half (48) of the Top 100 most borrowed books are published by the Hachette UK group, including a total of seven books written by Francesca Simon.
