Hachette titles are amongst the UK's most borrowed authors12/02/2010
James Patterson was today announced as the UK’s most borrowed author for the third year running, according to figures released by the Public Lending Right (PLR) while the second most borrowed author was Daisy Meadows (Rainbow Magic), the most borrowed Children’s brand with over 1.3 million loans in 2008–09.
Francesca Simon (Orion Children’s Horrid Henry series author) and Nora Roberts (Piatkus Books) made the top five, both having had their books borrowed over 1 million times last year, while Kipper author Mick Inkpen (Hodder Children's Books) and Lauren Child, author of the Clarice Bean series (Orchard) were also included in the top 10.
