Hachette Livre Unveils a New Logo and the UK Group Modifies its Name22/10/2008
Hachette Livre has commissioned a new Hachette logo for worldwide use and Hachette UK group is taking the opportunity to drop the word ‘Livre’ from its corporate name. From the end of October, it will be known as Hachette followed by the name of the country it operates in. So the companies in the UK group: Australia, New Zealand, India, Scotland and Ireland will be known as Hachette followed by the name of the country.
Tim Hely Hutchinson, CEO of Hachette UK said: “The new logo is simple, contemporary and stylish. Modifying our name signals the international reach of our group. It will simplify communication and give complete clarity to the name of each operating company.”
The new logo was officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Book Fair in the middle of October. The process of changeover to the new logo will begin at the end of October and be completed by the end of April 2009.
